Whole Foods Hosts Learn & Grow Event

Kids ages 5-9 will enjoy our Learn & Grow project event to be hosted by Whole Foods in Oxnard, CA on July 22, 2014 at 10am.

The event will include the following:

  • Free pizza from Whole Foods (please advise any food allergies or sensitivities in the special needs section of our registration form)
  • A tour of the Whole Foods store
  • Presentation of the Learn & Grow instructional program on food, where it comes from, and how to grow it
  • Each child building his/her own self-watering container, filling it with soil, and planting it with baby fruit/veggie plants and/or seeds

This event is free to attend (though your donations are very much appreciated) but we need you to register your children because space is limited to 10 participants. Please register soon to reserve your space.  Click here to download a PDF of the event flyer.

Whole Foods is graciously donating space, staff, and store product to this event. We still need donations of BPA-free, food-safe 5-gallon buckets as well as cash donations to cover the remaining costs of materials, travel, gardening supplies, personnel, etc., associated with putting on this program. To donate buckets, please email us at L&G@kps4parents.org or call us at 805-308-0694. To make a cash donation, please use the PayPal donate button, below.

Using our booking form below, please advise how many children ages 5-9 you will bring to this event using the drop-down menu following the heading “Spaces.” In the booking form comments field below, please advise if any of the children you are registering have food allergies or other special needs that must be accommodated.
